On the occasion of his 100th birthday on November 24, Karl Mohr was posthumously honored for his works with his own street name by the city of Hofheim, which will now have its own Karl Mohr Street.
Apart from his work as co-owner and commercial director of Adolf Mohr Maschinenfabrik, Karl Mohr was very socially committed. He supported various emergency services, organizations, associations and clubs both financially and non-financially. The welfare of his home town and its citizens was something particularly dear to his heart.
Karl Mohr was born on November 24, 1915 in Hofheim. After his business training he joined the family business founded by his father at the beginning of the thirties. In 1942 he took on management of the Adolf Mohr Maschinenfabrik as a personally liable shareholder together with his brother Rudolf.
The two brothers led the modest engineering company to the top position on the world market for cutting machines. Technically they were always a step ahead of the competition. Today the company is the global market leader in its field and supplies its equipment to more than 160 countries.
Karl Mohr died on 11 August 1988 at the age of 72. In addition to his entrepreneurial successes, he was honored in his lifetime for his charitable works. In 1981 he was also awarded the St. Florian's Medal and in 1984 received Golden Ring of Honor of the city of Hofheim. In 1985 Karl Mohr was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was particularly proud of the German Lifesaving Medal, as it was given to him as an individual for rescuing three people from drowning.
Mohr Cutters are tailored to the specific demands in digital printing
Mohr Cutters are durable, programmable cutting machines with hydraulic drive. Quick-print shops, copy shops, commercial print shops, in-house printers value not only the uncomplicated operation, but also the long service
life of the cutting machine. The unique cutting precision is obtained by the sturdy construction and the direct measurement.
The precise and gentle bevel swing cut is carried out hydraulically on all of our models. This allows adjusting the dwell time of the knife in the BDC to the respective material. The corrosion free table surface provides very
easy gliding which makes the material easy to handle. On Mohr Cutter 80, this effect is even supported by air jets.
